John Everatt ,Farmer, Eastoft. B. Eastoft. 1818, bapt. Crowle 9th August 1818.

In partnership with brother, married about 1857, Hannah ?Smith, who may have been a cousin born Crowle 1824. Family tradition, recorded by her granddaughters, an arranged marriage the two bothers concentrated on farming and were living in virtual squalor. The family arranged one of them to marry, so that there would be a woman’s civilising hand around the place.

1841. Age 21 agricultural labourer.

1851. Eastoft, age 32, farmer 6 acres.

1861. Farmer age 43, 50 acres.

1881. Penny Cross Street, Eastoft, age 62 farmer 162 acres.

Henry Smith. b. Eastoft 1860 to 1947. Reedness.

Hannah Rebecca b. Thorne 1862 married Thompson Till Oates.

William John, b. 10th July 1852. d. 5th January 1897.

Thompson Till b. Eastoft 16th July 1858 to abt 1905. Farmer and potato merchant.

Moses Till b. Eastoft 16th June 1863. m. Eleanor Anne Everatt.

John b. 1895.  son Edmund, 2 daughters, Mary and Betty.  Edmund married Lettie one of their granddaughters is engaged to a great x 2 grandson of  John Everatt via William Everatt’s. son JB Everatt grandson, one of his daughter’s sons.

Eleanor 1897 – 1974,Spinster.

Boy, name unknown.

Doris May 1902 to 1982. m. Fred Goldthorp 1903 to 1987.

Everatt 1904 to abt 1985. m. Getrude Hirst 1 son 3 daughters

Moses  1907 to 1986 m. Marie ?? 1 son 3 daughters.

Mary 1920 – abt. 1946. spinster.

William Oates Goldthorp, Arthur Moses Oates, Brian Chapman.

Brian. b. 1933, son of Alf Chapman,  58 Wharf Road, Crowle. Alf was Clark to the Drainage Board and the fifth generation of his family to be registrar of Births, marrages and deaths.
