Temple Belwood the Residential Pension.
Temple Belwood was opened as a
residential pension, or a high class boarding establishment to you and me, in about 1900
by Mr Timothy Radcliffe. It was not very profitable and, despite the grand building and
it's location, was given up by Radcliffe around 1909. During his time there Radcliffe
advertised the business profoundly and had a brochure printed in 1905 to extol its
virtues.
